Sponsorship Opportunities

The Historic Shaw Art Fair (HSAF) is an annual, outdoor celebration of fine arts and community solidarity sponsored by
the Shaw Neighborhood Improvement Association (SNIA). Established in 1993, the Fair is entering its fifteenth year.

It is:
1. Held on the first weekend of October each year.

2. Located on the 4100 and 4200 blocks of Flora Place, a wide, tree-lined boulevard just east of the
Missouri Botanical Garden in the center of the Shaw Historic District, City of St. Louis, Missouri.

3. Organized by the board, members and volunteers of the Shaw Neighborhood Improvement Association,
a 501C-3 not-for-profit organization incorporated in 1975 to be a pro-active voice for positive change and
improvement of an historic neighborhood in the heart of St Louis.

The Fair was begun to:

1. Market the Shaw Neighborhood and the City of St. Louis, Missouri

2. Create a showcase cultural event for the St. Louis region

3. Raise funds that will help continue the work of the SNIA and help fund special programs for the children and families of Shaw.

By providing funding for this event, individuals, organizations and corporations can heighten public awareness of their philanthropic and community involvement. In addition, they will help expand the programs offered by the HSAF, enabling organizers to enhance the HSAF’s role as a positive experience that takes place in the City of St.Louis. Additional funding can also be used to expand marketing and advertising efforts and attract a wider audience to the Fair.

What is the SNIA?

The Shaw Neighborhood Improvement Association, (SNIA) incorporated in 1975, is a membership-based non-profit organization that represents the residents of the City of St. Louis’ Shaw neighborhood. It is a pro-active voice for positive change and improvement for all neighborhood residents, and has a long history of working with city, community and development partners to further redevelopment, stabilization and safety within our community.

SNIA Mission
The SNIA is dedicated to maintaining and improving the quality of life for all Shaw residents and the larger community of which it is part.

The HSAF supports that mission by bringing this caliber of event to our region. Further, by involving children at many levels before and during the Fair, we hope to offer the vision that the arts are as important to their lives as any other pursuit.
What is the Historic Shaw Art Fair?

The Historic Shaw Art Fair (HSAF) was developed as a fund-raising, marketing and educational vehicle for the neighborhood. It has grown in stature to fulfill those goals, and has developed into a regional marketing and educational event that attracted 8,000 visitors in 2005.
